Roasted Whole Onion with Balsamic

for two servings

2 / MEDIUM YELLOW ONION

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL to taste
BALSAMIC VINEGAR to taste
SEA SALT to taste


  1. Cut off top and bottom of onion. Cut crosswise at bottom halfway through. Keep the skin on.
  2. Sprinkle some salt and olive oil.
  3. Roast in oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 30 min until soft. Check softness with a stick.
  4. Season with some salt and balsamic vinegar to taste. Serve hot.
